ReplyMy next thought regarding going on to the next business who doesn't charge reminds me how many times I've changed my payment form on dot com purchases to avoid this exact charge. Guess I'll dot com even more if local businesses start charging a fee. It's much easier to resist the impulse buy and there is no loading/unloading the cart/car/house. Thanks UPS, FedEx and snail mail.

ReplyAbsolutely! I will not pay a charge to use my credit card. I only use them to reap the benefits that they give me, ie.. cash back bonus from Discover. We pay them at the end of every month so if they want me to pay extra for nothing, I WON'T DO IT! I think businesses should at the very least thank me for patronizing their business because I'm only returning if their service/product is good.

ReplySince I travel this exact location everyday twice a day, I have to say NO WAY can we possibly accommodate any additional traffic or pedestrians at this location. What are they thinking? There would have to be major improvements to the entire intersections at Hwy 78, Hwy 81, Lee Byrd Road and Old Zion Cemetery Road, if this is to happen. Also renters do not increase our tax base the same as individual property owners.

ReplyThey do NOT need to take away the two SROs at the high school or the one SRO at the middle school. Their presence alone must detour some behavior plus if an incident should happen the response time should be very minimal. These three men do a great service to each and every child at these schools. Also parents need to talk to and know your children; be involved and let them know the rules and consequences. These children are the future of our country!

ReplyI was at LHS most of day Friday volunteering; and also ran over to LMS for awards luncheon Ftiday. I have to agree that the schools are doing a great job protecting our children. I have a volunteer badge and always sign in and out at the front desk. Rules are in place for a reason, the CT situation is a prime example. Unfortunately things do happen in our world today but LHS and LMS along with their SROs are doing a great job to lessen the chances of an incident here.

Well stated Sharon, you got it right. Ray has had good visions and ideas for this city and has seen most of them to completion. It is only fitting that the new green space be named for Ray Nunley.
