I hope, you're not blaming the victims, Chris H. Everyone should be able to walk around without the expectation that they won't be accosted for items they own. Yes, there are things folks should do to be more proactive in terms of crime prevention, but ultimately, the criminal is at fault.

GrantParkguy: That was the latest info available. I'd urge you to call the police and let them know of your incident if you haven't already. Even if they aren't related, they need to know in case your incident is part of a larger pattern.

ReplyReaders, we've heard from several you who have said Inman administration officials claim this incident never happened. We've attached the police report, which is redacted since the student in question is a minor. We were tipped off to this incident from an Inman parent who expressed concern that the school did not inform parents at large and was engaged in a cover-up.

ReplyThere are various measures from locks to soldering the CCs. (Range is $50 to 300 or more). Problem is lock can be sawed and thieves will break the soldered CCs, making the overall repair even more expensive.
