Man Reportedly Brags About Stealing from Employer on Facebook and More Weird North Georgia Crime News

According to authorities, the Facebook user posted a photo of himself with the stolen cash.

Blabbing on Facebook: An Alpharetta man, accused of stealing more than $3,000 from a Walmart cash register, bragged about the suspected thefts via Facebook. He posted a photo of him with the money and the words, “I love my job.” He is charged with stealing the money out of the till over a five-day period. A Walmart associate, who is a Facebook "friend" with the suspect, alerted authorities of the post. “Christine” was a scammer: A Lawrenceville man answered an online credit card advertisement and was duped out of $2,000 by a woman who called herself “Christine.” The man called the number listed in a “Master Plan Card” ad he found in a Google search. “Christine” answered the call and instructed the man to get a prepaid card and put $2,000 …

Oconee County Sheriff’s deputies investigated a recent report of gunfire.

Warning shot: Oconee County Sheriff’s deputies investigating a report of gunfire found a 66-year-old man who said he fired his shotgun into the air “to scare the witches away.” His guns were turned over to his son for safe-keeping. Nude walking: A man found walking around naked on a walking trail near a Norcross apartment complex didn’t seem too fazed by a Gwinnett County police officer’s interest in finding out what he was doing. When the officer approached and identified himself, the man picked up a cup from the ground and poured water over his head, according to the police report. The Lawrenceville woman admitted to being high on meth when she allegedly attacked a hotel employee with a shovel.

A Lawrenceville woman, who admitted to being high on meth when she allegedly attacked a hotel employee with a shovel, also had 42 Oxycodone and Zolpidem pills when police searched her purse. When an officer asked if she had any more drugs on her, she replied, "Why? Do you want some?" I’m here to clean you out: Police are looking for a man who they believe lied to enter several Athens-area businesses and steal wallets. To gain access to the offices, he claimed to be on a work detail, such as cleaning the carpets or checking for pests. Once in, he scooped up the personal items.
