Gwinnett County Sheriff's Deputy from Bethlehem Charged with DUI
The deputy is accused of wrecking a sheriff's department vehicle overnight at Ga. Highway 81 and Double Springs Road in Walton County.
Georgia State Patrol reported that a Gwinnett County Sheriff's Deputy vehicle was involved in a wreck at 1:20 a.m. this morning on Georgia Highway 81 at Double Springs Road in Walton County. According to the trooper, a Gwinnett County Sheriff's Department vehicle ran off the road, struck an embankment and overturned several times. In a press release, GSP reported that nobody was around the vehicle when first responders arrived. They later located the driver, a Gwinnett County Sheriff's deputy, at his Bethlehem residence. He had sustained minor injuries. A female passenger was found walking near the crash scene. I'm confused, is Eugene the guy in the picture? Because that is not the officer who was arrested. At first, I thought the guy in the above picture was the officer that was arrested, but it isn't because the news station has a mugshot of the officer arrested.   more ›
