The parade steps off at 11 a.m. Saturday from Ingles in Winder.

The city of Winder will celebrate its 64th annual Christmas parade Saturday, Dec. 15.  Santa Claus himself will be part of the parade, also featuring local businesses and organizations traveling through downtown Winder. The parade will step off at 11 a.m. from Ingles and travel south on Broad before turning left on Athens Street and dispersing at Jug Tavern Park. Vendors will be selling food and hot drinks along the parade route and the fun's not over when the parade ends — children can have their pictures taken with Santa at the Winder gazebo. Santa was leaving the gazebo as my grandson and I came up the street to see him. I did not see it posted when Santa would be seeing the children.   more ›
