According to a report posted online by 11Alive, discount grocery chain Aldi plans to fill 50 to 70 positions within the metro Atlanta area, including jobs at the Winder location set to open this fall. The company has openings for cashiers, shift managers and manager trainees, the report said, and will hold a hiring event today from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4 to 7 p.m. at Comfort Suites Northlake, 2060 Crescent Center Blvd., Tucker, GA 30084. Construction work on the store, which will located at the corner of West May Street and Horton Street continues. The discount grocer could be open in time for Thanksgiving shopping.
The foundation of what will be an Aldi store at the corner of West May Street and Horton Street is taking shape. Construction continues at the site, and, according to the Winder Planning Department's, the store could be open before Thanksgiving. They are holding job fairs in three different locations. You don't have to go to Tucker...you can go to either Fayetteville or Smyrna. It's not that they don't want to hire local workers, it's just that they are trying to staff multiple stores. I feel like if you're out of work and need a job, Tucker's just not that far to drive. more ›
