Post-Game Accident Ties up Westbound 316 Traffic in Barrow County

A traffic accident on Highway 316 eastbound near Briscoe Field airport sent traffic detouring to Hurricane Shoals Road shortly before 5 p.m. on Saturday, while vehicles returning to the Atlanta area from the Georiga-Georgia Tech game were stalled by a westbound wreck in Barrow County. A plane carrying a banner ad, likely fresh from the football game, circled overhead as officials directed traffic off the highway after the Lawrenceville wreck.
