Barrow County residents are invited to dine out at Casey's in downtown Winder today, as 100 percent of sales will benefit Tripp Halstead. Casey's will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Several local businesses, including Dairy Queen and Zaxby's in Winder, have donated a portion of a day's sales to Tripp, who remains hospitalized after being seriously injured Monday, Oct. 29, at Cribs to Crayons Daycare in Winder when a tree limb weighing several hundred pounds fell and struck him in the head. I think it has been completely tasteless that you have promoted today's charity event by Casey's repeatedly and have failed to mention that Locos and Arby's will both be going a charity event today; in fact, I know that Casey announced his after one of these other businesses and to me, that was also tasteless.
