Winder Police: Security Measures Remain in Place at Barrow Schools

According to a news release, the Winder Police Department, Barrow County Schools and the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office collaborated this past weekend to review those security measures.

The following information was released by the Winder Police Department following the shooting at Sandy Creek Elementary School in Newtown, Conn.   How do you feel about the security in place at your child's school? My suggestions about the security of schools is to grill all the windows and at the main entrance to have a guard checking ID everyone who wants to come inside of school and a metal detector for every kind of weapons. I know it sound like jail but in this way they create more jobs for people as guardians and our children will be safe and secure.   more ›
