Meet Carousel Chloe the Chihuahua

Her name Carousel Chloe came from her going after and trying to attack a carousel when she was just 6 weeks old. Chloe is a blue chihuahua and is now is 8 years old. This breed is rare and was considered sacred by the royalty in the Toltec civilization. The Sanders family of Winder has had had Chloe since she was 6 weeks old. Meet Buddy, a Rescued Lab that Doesn't Know He's a Dog

Buddy has called Winder home for four years.

He is a 4-year-old, yellow lab. His favorite toys are large sticks, small branches, leaf blowers and radio-controlled cars. His favorite treats are Pup-Peronis. The most unique thing about Buddy is that he thinks he is a real child and loves to sit in mom and dad's lap just like his human brothers. He loves to tree birds. He practices this all the time. He stands on point and barks at the tree forever even though there is no bird in it. But practice makes perfect. …

Meet Missi, a Border Collie/Terrier Mix whose Owners Call Winder Home

This adorable dog was rescued three years ago by a Winder family.

She was born July 6, 2008. Missi was rescued by her current family when she was 6 weeks old. She lives in Winder with her mom Donna, dad John and sister Ashley.  Missi's favorite toy is a stuffed "tick" from PetSmart. She has pulled all the stuffing out of it and it's been sewn back in for her a dozen times!  She knows it by name and will bring it to you when she wants to play. Meet Buster and Louie, Two Bulldogs that Call Winder Home

This week, meet the two furry children who keep Barrow Patch Local Editor and Winder resident Deanna Allen company while she's working from home. Buster is a 3-year-old American bulldog and will celebrate his fourth birthday Feb. 18, 2012. His little brother, Louie, is a Boxer bulldog and is just shy of his second birthday on Sept. 21. Both dogs love playing tug-of-war with ropes and are especially fond of tearing squeakers out of any toys that makes noise. Pets of the Week: Two Dogs in Need of Forever Homes

A Staffordshire terrier and a chihuahua mix are awaiting their forever homes at Barrow County Animal Control. Read the descriptions to see if one of these pets is right for your family. The adoption fee for all cats and dogs is $100. The fee includes spay or neuter, a physical exam, a fecal exam, de-worming, a rabies vaccine, a distemper/parvo vaccine and micro-chipping.
