Construction work on an estimated $5.2 million intersection improvement project in Braselton is winding down. The Georgia Department of Transportation says that, weather permitting, all new lanes at the intersection of Ga. Highway 211 and Ga. Highway 124 will be open for use by Friday night. On Thursday, crews will start working on getting traffic into the final configuration. "Our contractor plans to have all lanes open by sundown Friday," District Construction Engineer Harold Mull said in a news release. "We are thankful to get these improvements in place.
