Twin brothers accused of burying a Florida reporter's body in the backyard of a Winder residence have been arraigned in a Florida court. The Athens Banner-Herald posted an Associated Press report that William Cormier was arraigned today, Friday, Dec. 7, on a charge of murder and robbery and his brother, Christopher Cormier, was charged with accessory to murder and armed robbery in the death of Sean Dugas. The brothers were extradited to Florida in November and had been in local police custody since Oct. 8, when a body was found buried in the backyard of a Sixth Street residence in Winder. Twin brothers accused of killing a Florida man and burying his body in the backyard of a Winder residence will be extradited to Pensacola, according to a report by the Pensacola News Journal. Investigators believe the Cormier twins were house guests Sean Dugas, and that William Cormier killed Dugas on Aug. 27, the report says. The brothers also reportedly stole some of the reporter's collection of “Magic: The Gathering” game cards, which were worth between $25,000 and $100,000, were later sold in Florida, Georgia and Tennessee. A judge has denied bond for one of the twin brothers charged in the death of a former newspaper reporter from Florida, the Associated Press reports in a post on the CBS 12 News website. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation's Medical Examiner’s Office has positively identified the body found buried Monday afternoon at a Winder residence. The body is that of 30-year-old Christopher Sean Dugas of the Pensacola, Fla. area, according to a news release. Dugas was a former reporter for the Pensacola News Journal and had been missing since September. A GBI forensic pathologist used dental and facial bone CT scans and surgically implanted dental hardware serial numbers to make the identification. UPDATE: The Pensacola News Journal reports the autopsy revealed the victim died of blunt force trauma to the head.
