Statham Spartans Sports is a non-profit 501(c)3 business in Barrow County that offers competitive tackle football and competitive cheerleading activities for individuals in Barrow County and surrounding areas. The Statham Spartans play in a league based in Athens, with teams for kids ages 4-13. Practices are scheduled three times a week at the Winder VFW and are designed to acclimate athletes to weather conditions while developing fundamental skills. Regular participation in practice is required in order for athletes to play in competitive games.
