Barrow County Habitat for Humanity held a symbolic groundbreaking ceremony Monday, Sept. 19, for the organization's 14th home. This is the local affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. Barrow County Habitat is funded locally through donations and is staffed by local volunteers in the community. The organization builds and renovate homes at no profit and sells them through zero-interest mortgages to eligible Barrow County residents who would otherwise not be able to purchase their own homes.
