This is by far the worst animal shelter I have ever experienced. Not only do they not care for or about the animals, they make it almost impossible to adopt. There is a waiting period, they are only open 4 days a week 8-5, they have a ridulous application, etc. You can ask about 5 different vets in the area if I should be allowed to adopt animals and they would say absolutely, no questions asked. They know I care for my pets better than most. However, because I don't vaccinate my indoor cats after kitten shots (which can cause tumors) I can't adopt? That is insane. I wanted to help a poor little 4 week old kitten that is covered in poop and dirt and probably getting sick because of it but i am not "fit."

The people who work at this shelter SHOULD NOT WORK WITH ANIMALS!!! They had the opportunity to save a hound and disregarded the calls they received from the rescue who was willing to get this dog the medical treatment it needed. These people are only there for a paycheck - NOT TO HELP THE ANIMALS FIND HOMES.
