All the Road Construction Getting You Down?

Or do you see a long-term benefit?

It seems as though wherever you travel, road work is never finished. Before one project ends, another one begins. There’s the work to add more lanes to Ga. Highway 20 and never ending projects on Ga. Highway 316. There has been an ongoing project in downtown Winder. Monroe and the re-routing of GA 10 in the Athens area. There have been projects to resurface many of the roads, local state and major highways and projects to construct toll lanes — another one soon to begin on Interstate 75 south of Atlanta. And have you ever taken a beach trip to Florida over the summer and not had to be squeezed down to one lane for some road construction project or another on I-75?

All of this is very disruptive to to our daily commute. So is it worth it in the long run?

Let us know what you think. Do you question whether the traffic mess road work creates is worth the trouble? Or do you see a long-term benefit that makes it worthwhile to muddle through the mess in the meantime?
