Tropical Weather Update and a Look at the Week Ahead

Mild, fall-like temperatures will continue next week according to the latest 7-day forecast information from local weather expert Steve Brueck, but rain could be heading our way.

In an Oct. 3 blog post, Brueck discussed tropical activity that may bring precipitation to this area -- a weather event he first discussed earlier in the week.

"After a few weeks of tranquil weather, there appears to be a change on the way," he wrote. "For the last several days the computer models have been showing a tropical system (possibly Karen?) forming in the Gulf of Mexico and moving into the southeast."
