On the first Friday in February each year, needy children and their families have a very special reason to smile.
As it commemorates its 10th anniversary of “Give Kids a Smile” Day, the American Dental Association is proud to once again partner with thousands of dentists across the nation to provide free oral health care services to children from low-income families without dental insurance.
This year, it is estimated that more than 9,500 dentists and 29,000 volunteers will take part in “Give Kids a Smile” Day on Friday, Feb. 3, 2012. Collectively, they are expected to serve more than 405,000 kids over the course of the day. Barrow Patch is proud to announce that one of the dentists taking part in “Give Kids a Smile” Day is located right here in Barrow County — Auburn Dental Center.
From 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3, Dr. William M. Herr and his friendly staff at Auburn Dental Center — located at 1310 Atlanta Highway in Auburn — will be seeing young patients in need of free dental care. If you wish to register your child to see Dr. Herr and his team Feb. 3 or would like to learn more about “Give Kids a Smile” Day and Auburn Dental Care’s participation in the program, call 770-339-4690.
