Volunteers Needed for Upcoming All-Star Junior Golf Event at Chateau Élan

The American Junior Golf Association needs assistance in a variety of areas for a special event in Braselton scheduled for early April.

Attention golf lovers! The American Junior Golf Association — a national 501(c)3 nonprofit organization — is committed to the “overall growth and development of young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf".

With a tagline that reads “Developing Golf’s Next Generation”, the AJGA is headed right for the heart of Braselton.

From April 5 through 8, 2012, Braselton’s most renowned golf destination, Chateau Élan, will play host to the TaylorMade-Adidas Golf Junior All-Star Event as part of the AJGA’s Gary Gilchrist Golf Academy/Montverde Academy Junior All-Star Series. To make this event a huge success, the AJGA requires the assistance of a slew of volunteers. Current volunteer needs include:

  • Timing station volunteers
  • Live scoring volunteers
  • Standard bearers
  • Spotters
  • Shuttles
  • Private housing

Aside from the joy of watching the next generation of talented young golfers play the links at one of the South’s finest courses, volunteers will also enjoy the following benefits:

  • AJGA hat and pin
  • On-course beverages and lunch
  • Community service letter (a great perk for students)

If you will be available in early April and wish to volunteer for the AJGA TaylorMade-Adidas Golf Junior All-Star Event at Chateau Élan in Braselton, contact AJGA Human Resource Manager Teresa McKain by phone at 770-868-4200 ext. 1755 or via e-mail at tmckain@ajga.org.
