GDOT: Winder Is Wide Open This Week

The around the clock double lane closures have ended.

The Georgia Department of Transportation had good news for Winder motorists this week. The around the clock double lane closures are no longer in place and no lane closures are planned this week "even if weather permits."

Curbing and gutter construction is planned for the "bump out" planting areas along Broad Street. Installation of conduit and bases for the new decorative lighting will also continue.

The .72-mile long, $4.9 million project has an estimated completion date of July 2014.
