Enjoy Sand in Downtown Braselton This Weekend
The town welcomes the return of its popular family festival, Braselton Beach Bash, on Saturday.
Grab a beach towel and some sunscreen, Barrow County!
The town of Braselton is prepping to make some positive waves with the return of its popular summertime family festival, the Braselton Beach Bash. Truckloads of white sand stand ready to be dumped, transforming the historic downtown area into a veritable beachside boardwalk.
The fun kicks off at Braselton Park bright and early this Saturday morning, May 19, and includes bounce houses, bungee jumping and the following jam-packed schedule of events.

Kid-friendly performers in the park
- 10 a.m — Mr. Ron’s Magic Show
- 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. — Mr. Ron and his birds will be available for free pictures by Never the Rock Photography
- Noon to 3 p.m. — Free face painting
- 2:30 p.m. — Mr. Ron’s Magic Show
- 3 to 6 p.m. — Free petting zoo
- 6 to 9 p.m. — Doodle the Clown will be available for free face painting and balloon animals

- 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. — Lisa Martin featuring Doug Thompson
- 3 to 6 p.m. — The Joe Olds Band
- 7 to 10 p.m. — The Hit the Beach Band
The best part is, admission is free! The fun lasts from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
There will also be a car show hosted just up the road at Year One from 5 to 9 p.m. Located in the Braselton TechCenter at 1001 Cherry Drive, Year One welcomes entrants to the car show for $5 per entry. Spectators will be admitted for free. In addition to the Participant Vote Top 15 Car Show, the evening’s event will include prize drawings, a burn out exhibition, a kids area and food vendors.
