Dinosaurs Take a Bite Out of Downtown Auburn in Return of Movies in the Park

This week sees the return of the Auburn Farmers Market on June 6 and Movies in the Park on June 9.

Make plans to head to downtown Auburn for two great events scheduled for this week.

On Saturday, June 9, dinosaurs take a big bite out of downtown Auburn with the return of Movies in the Park, featuring Steven Spielberg’s "Jurassic Park". Starring Sam Neill, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, Richard Attenborough and a colorful cast of Crustaceous Period creatures, Jurassic Park became an instant science fiction classic. This adventurous tale revolves around an amusement park filled with cloned dinosaurs and unsuspecting visitors, resulting in edge-of-your-beach-chair entertainment. Favorite movie-themed concessions such as popcorn, sodas and candy will be available. The city of Auburn invites you to bring your family downtown to enjoy a movie under the stars. Future Movies in the Park include:

Movies begin at sundown, and admission is free!

Before this weekend, on Wednesday, June 6, local farmers will be on hand at the Burel Park Pavilion from 2 to 6 p.m. to help you with all of your fresh produce needs. If you’d rather play the role of vendor than shopper, vendor spaces are only $10 each and are available by calling organizer Sherrie Miller at 770-963-4002 extension 228 or e-mailing her at smiller@cityofauburn-ga.org.
