Bethlehem Church Invites Barrow Residents to Worship in the Woods
Bethlehem First United Methodist Church will host Sunday morning services at Fort Yargo State Park throughout the summer.
Bethlehem’s “Big White Church” is thinking outside the offering box when it comes to worship this summer.
While traditional and contemporary services will still be held at in the heart of downtown, Fort Yargo State Park will serve as the site for special summer Sunday services in the great outdoors. Running every Sunday through Sept. 2 of Labor Day weekend, Bethlehem First UMC will host worship at Fort Yargo’s Amphitheatre from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Campers, nature lovers and anyone who wishes to attend are welcome.
For those who prefer to worship indoors, Bethlehem First UMC offers Holy Communion service at 8:30 a.m. in the church's chapel, a contemporary service at 9:30 a.m. in the Worship Center, “The Edge” Alternative Christian Rock Service at 11 a.m. in the Worship Center and a traditional service at 11 a.m. in the sanctuary every Sunday. Church members and visitors, mark your calendars! On Sunday, June 10, Bethlehem First United Methodist Church will celebrate the retirement of Executive Pastor Reverend Harold Corbin immediately following the 11 a.m. service in the Stars Café.
