Georgia HS Football Power Ratings: AHS, WBHS Foe Remains in Top 10

November has arrived and with just two weeks left in the regular season, much is still to be determined as to who’s in, who’s out, and who will be playing who when the Georgia High School Association (GHSA) football playoffs begin the weekend of Nov. 15-16

Here are the GHSA football games scheduled this week for schools located in Patch areas in Northeast Georgia. Check out all scores in Georgia here.

What is known is the latest Georgia high school football state power ratings as determined by the Maxwell Ratings. A week after three of the top four teams in the ratings hailed from Gwinnett, just one does this week with new No. 1 Buford.

But the county does have four teams in the top-seven with North Gwinnett, Norcross and Collins Hill coming in at Nos. 5, 6, and 7 respectively.

The ratings, compiled by Loren Maxwell, founder of the Georgia High School Football Historians Association, are generated to determine an objective, computerized rating of the state’s 412 football-playing schools. The top 25 teams are presented below and for a more detailed look, see here.
