5K for Kenya

The 5K for Kenya is part of an 11-country, 11-month World Race whose purpose is to raise awareness and support of the Kenya Initiative. The Initiative seeks to help the Internally Displaced Persons of Kenya. Six young American adults, who worked in Kenya with the Adventures in Missions, are setting up the races in the U.S., including Liz Martin from Georgia. Registration begins at 8:00am, the race starts at 9:30am and the awards ceremony is at 11:00am. In addition to the registration fee, there is a $5 parking fee at Fort Yargo State Park.
