WBHS Student Honored as State Winner in Writing Competition

Elizabeth Richmond was selected as the ninth grade state winner.

A Winder-Barrow High School student was recently honored in a statewide writing competition.

Elizabeth Richmond, now a sophomore, was selected as the ninth grade state winner in the Young Georgia Authors Writing Competition for 2013.

According to Barrow County Schools, the competition "celebrates the creative and academic efforts of students in grades K through 12 in any genre of writing, including poetry, short stories, journalism, research, literary analysis, argument, and more."
