Fall 2012 Registration Dates Set for Braselton BULLI

The local campus of Brenau University Learning & Leisure Institute will be registering students for classes beginning Aug. 23.

As the final days of the summer break dwindle and Barrow County students begin eyeing the calendar for the first day of school, organizers at the Braselton campus of the Brenau University Learning & Leisure Institute are making plans for the return of students for the second term of this exciting new program. After a successful inaugural term of BULLI in Braselton, fall term classes have already been announced and the registration dates have been set.

Boasting a wide variety of subjects ranging from “Introduction to Digital Photography” and “Come on In! The Watercolor’s Fine” to “Home Repair Basics” and “Five Facets of Creative Non Fiction Writing,” registration for the fall 2012 term will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, in the Community Room of the Braselton Police and Municipal Court facility at 5040 Ga. Highway 53. Instructors will be on hand at the opening registration event to describe their classes and meet with prospective students. Registration continues at the Braselton Town Hall through Aug. 30, or until classes are filled.

“I am very pleased to see the BULLI tradition continue,” said Braselton BULLI volunteer and member Peg Sheffield. “Having recently moved back to the area after a 40-year absence, I was excited to learn that Brenau University and Braselton would be offering a BULLI satellite campus here. It's a wonderful program for mature adults who are curious and love to learn, and it's a great way to make friends.  It easily combines education and networking. The BULLI volunteers in Braselton are working very hard to offer a variety of interesting classes, ranging from academic to arts to health and wellness, and including early evening classes unique to Braselton.  The program also depends on financial support and there are significant opportunities for individuals and businesses to get involved and help fund instructors, class materials and administrative expenses.”

BULLI offers non-credit classes for adults looking to stimulate their thinking and expand their knowledge. The fall 2012 term runs from Sept. 24 through Nov. 9. The Braselton campus offers day and night classes and membership is reciprocal with the original Gainesville BULLI program.  For more information, visit the Brenau BULLI website at www.intranet.brenau.edu/bulli.
