Readers' Choice: Nominate Barrow's Best Gas Station

Nominate your choice for Barrow's best gas station to be included in our upcoming Readers' Choice poll.

What makes you stop at a specific gas station? Do you look for the cheapest gas price? Do you expect top-notch customer service from clerks? Does the service station you frequent the most offer the best selection of grocery or convenience items?

We're searching for the best in Barrow County and need your help in the nominating process. Tell us about your favorite gas station by commenting on this article. And be sure to let the business owner know you're supporting the business. 

We will accept nominations until Monday, July 9. Voting will begin July 23 and the best service station in Barrow will be announced Aug. 24.

John Partee's Pure Station on Athens St. Only station around with Non-Ethenol gasoline. The best fuel for small engine equipment and classic cars to protect engines and fuel lines.

I grew up in a Winder where doors were not locked and the town was full of folks shopping! SometimesRead More a moonshiner would get caught or the parking meter would run out of time and one would get a parking ticket by one of the three cops in town! Now I keep a weapon handy because of voices and footsteps on the pavement at night! Where are these people coming from and going to after one o'clock in the morning? Why does it take so long for a policeman to show up after a call is made,if they show up at all? I've watched nice homes on my street turn into dumps. They are rented by owners who are only interested in the money and not the quality of people who are renting. Yeah, I keep a weapon and it's loaded for a thief or prowler! When seconds count a cop is only several minutes away,if at all!
