Winder Council to Fill Ward 2 Seat Held by Late Councilman Charlie Eberhart

Eberhart died Jan. 30 following a year-long battle with brain cancer.

The Winder City Council will hold a called meeting today, March 19, and will fill a vacant council seat that was held by the late Councilman Charlie Eberhart. 

Eberhart, who died Jan. 30, 2013, after battling brain cancer, held the council's Ward 2 seat on the for 22 years, making him its second longest-serving member at the time of his death.

The council will also vote on the approval of a municipal court judge appointment and recommendations to award bids on the East Athens Street culvert project and the purchase of furniture for the city's building on East Midland Avenue.
