Ten Votes Separated Candidates for District 2 Board of Commissioners Seat

The Barrow Journal reports that after a recount, Kenny Shook won the July 31 Republican Party Primary.

Businessman Kenny Shook will take a seat on the Barrow County Board of Commissioners after drawing just 10 more votes than his opponent, former commissioner Bill Brown, the reports.

Shook received 710 votes to Brown's 700 during the July 31 Primary Election. With no opposition in November's General Election on the Democratic Party's side, Shook will take the seat of District 2 commissioner beginning in 2013.
