Saturday Mail Delivery by U.S. Postal Service Could End This August

Package delivery would continue Saturdays. The U.S. Postal Service's plan reportedly would save the agency about $2 billion annually.

The U.S. Postal Service reportedly will end Saturday mail delivery in August 2013, but would continue to deliver packages on Saturdays.

According to an ABC News report, the agency is making the move to curb financial losses. The plan would save the agency about $2 billion annually, the report says.

Also, delivery to post office boxes would continue on Saturdays, while post offices now open on Saturdays would remain open that day.
