Old Granite Hotel Demolition to Cost City $200,000

Members of the Winder City Council will vote Tuesday, Dec. 6, on which company will handle the demolition.

After spending more than $400,000 stabilizing and salvaging the Old Granite Hotel since purchasing the building in 2004, the city of Winder will pay out another $200,000 to have the structure demolished.

The Athens Banner-Heralds reports members of the Winder City Council will vote next week on which demolition company will handle the job.
