New Mixed-Use Development Proposed for Barrow County

The development would include a mix of residential and commercial property.

A property development firm is seeking to rezone a 64-acre site in Barrow County as a master/planned development.

The property, located near the intersection of Tom Miller Road and Roxey Maxey Road, would include 48,600 square feet of commercial/retail space, 149 single family residential units and 272 multi-family residential units.

The developer, Canadian-based Walton Development and Management, lists an estimated project completion date of 2022.

The project, currently titled Parkside, is under review as a Development of Regional Impact (DRI). Click here to read the DRI filing.

Walton Development and Management is also in the process of developing a 157-acre project in Dacula as a "live, work, play" community.
