Meet the Candidate: Local Business Owner Seeking Winder Council Seat

Tim Bolt, the owner of Master Tech Auto, is seeking an at-large seat on the Winder City Council.

What would you like to see Winder's mayor address following the Nov. 8 election? Tell us in comments.

Tim Bolt

  • Age: 52
  • Occupation: Local business owner — Bolt has owned Master Tech Auto for almost 10 years this coming April
  • Education: High school
  • Family: Divorced
  • Political experience: None
  • Top priorities, if elected: To make Winder more business friendly and facilitate job creation by cutting red tape, helping new business get started rather than
over burdening with de facto ordnances that stifle growth!
  • In your own words — why he is seeking election: "It's time to stop running the same old dogs through the car wash and hoping they will come out smelling better! We need new blood in our City government, someone who doesn't have ties or an interest in some other persons business. It is time for the good old boys to move on and it is up to the folks to decide will it be status quo or change in status?"
