Congressman Urges Passage of 'Legislative Solutions' to 'Empower Small Businesses'
U.S. Representative Rob Woodall joined 36 of his freshman colleagues in coordinating their efforts to press the Senate to take action on several pieces of legislation they deem pro-job growth.
U.S. Rep. Rob Woodall is calling on the U.S. Senate to take action on more than a dozen pieces of what he deems pro-job growth legislation.
Woodall joined 36 of his freshman colleagues in coordinating their efforts to press the Senate to take action on the following:
- H.Con.Res.34, The Path to Prosperity FY2012 Budget Resolution
Establishing the budget for the United States Government for fiscal year 2012 and setting forth appropriate budgetary levels for fiscal years 2013 through 2021 - H.R. 872, Reducing Regulatory Burdens Act
To amend the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act and the Federal Water Pollution Control Act to clarify Congressional intent regarding the regulation of the use of pesticides in or near navigable waters, and for other purposes. - H.R. 910, The Energy Tax Prevention Act
To amend the Clean Air Act to prohibit the Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency from promulgating any regulation concerning, taking action relating to, or taking into consideration the emission of a greenhouse gas to address climate change, and for other purposes. - H.J. Res. 37, Disapproval of FCC’s Net Neutrality Regulations
Disapproving the rule submitted by the Federal Communications Commission with respect to regulating the Internet and broadband industry practices. - H.R. 2018, the Clean Water Cooperative Federalism Act

To direct the President to expedite the consideration and approval of the construction and operation of the Keystone XL oil pipeline, and for other purposes.
“American businesses and taxpayers need the certainty that only a long-term budget can provide — not more of the political theater that comes with budgetary stop-gap measures and showdowns over potential shutdowns,” Woodall stated in a news release. “In the meantime, however, the House has offered over a dozen legislative solutions — currently lying in wait with the Senate — that empower small businesses by removing excessive government regulation, streamlining our tax code, and putting Americans back to work. Think of the good these bills could already be doing if the Senate would just act.”
