Commissioners Approve Rezoning, Annexation

During its meeting Tuesday, the Barrow County Board of Commissioners approved a request for rezoning to combine three properties and the annexation of Greentree Drive into the Auburn city limits.

Commissioners unanimously approved a request from property owner Tracy S. Whiddon to combine three parcels of property into one tract. The approximately nine acres of property is at 2029 Ga. Highway 82 in unincorporated Statham.

Commissioners also voted unanimously to approve without objection the annexation of Greentree Drive into the city of Auburn. The off Ga. Highway 324 to extend a water line into the subdivision to connect residents to city water service.

A request for rezoning from Dan and Kathleen Kohlhagan, property owners in unincorporated Hoschton, from R1 to R1-SU to operate a home business was withdrawn.
