The Barrow County Board of Education will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the . The board is set to vote on the following items:

  • The realignment of school attendance zones within the Apalachee cluster
  • The proposed 2011-12 student calendar
  • A polling location agreement with the Barrow County Board of Elections
  • A temporary easement on Georgia Highway 11 at the Barrow County Schools maintenance shop for Mink Creek Investments LLC and The Broadway Group LLC for installation of a acceleration/deceleration lane and a center turn lane for a new retail location
  • The purchase of textbooks for the course Mathematics of Finance
  • Specified changes to school system policies
  • A bid for mechanical, electrical and plumbing design services for the College and Career Preparatory Academy Phase I
  • Contract renewal with the Gallup Consulting
  • Changes to the Student Code of Conduct
  • A request for proposals for legal services for the school system
  • Phase II of school system policy review

The Auburn City Council will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Auburn Municipal Court and is expected to vote on the following items:
