Barrow Residents Join Approximately 2.5 Million Georgians able to Vote on Sunday Alcohol Sales

Residents of Auburn, Braselton, Winder and unincorporated Barrow County will have the opportunity to vote on Sunday alcohol sales this fall.

Residents of Auburn, Braselton, Winder and unincorporated Barrow County will have the opportunity to cast their votes on Nov. 8.

The Georgia Food Industry Association has announced that 100 cities and counties throughout the state are set to hold Sunday sales referendums during the upcoming general election — areas representing about 2.5 million Georgians.

“We would like to commend the city and county leaders throughout the state who have decided to give the people the right to choose what is best for their communities,” GFIA President Kathy Kuzava said in the announcement. “This effort has always been about our industry’s desire to serve our customers. If the referendums are successful our customers are ones who will benefit.”
