Women's Bras Appear to be Convenient Means for Attempting to Conceal Suspected Stolen Items

First, a reported shoplifting incident involved a pair of nail clippers stuffed into a suspect's bra, now a reported incident involved a toothbrush.  

On Sunday, Sept. 2, officers with the were dispatched to the area of Holly Hill Mall in reference to a shoplifting report at the  at 155 W. Athens St. The officers stopped two suspects in a Ford Fusion. When an officer questioned the driver, Alexandra Martin, she said she had taken a toothbrush, placed it in her bra and left the store without paying. 

After a search of the vehicle, officers found merchandise from Dollar General worth $28.60 and health and beauty items from Fred's that cost a total of $21.95, which, according to an incident report, both suspects admitted to stealing. 

Officers also found a bag containing a crystal-like substance in one of the suspect's purses. Both suspects said the drugs belonged to the other. 

Alexandra Marie Martin, 21, of 2747 Crestworth Lane in Buford and Jessica Wanda Martin, 22, of 24 Duke Circle in Winder were both placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting and possession of methamphetamine. 

According to an incident report, a Winder woman was observed on store surveillance Aug. 25 removing nail clippers from their packaging before stuffing the merchandise into her bra at the same Dollar General store.
