The deputy then left the residence and was able to speak with the three females accused of attacking the complainant. One of the females and her mother said they had received harassing phone calls from the complainant throughout the night. The females said they were driving to pick something up from a residence off Carl Cedar Hill Road and when they drove down Bankhead Highway, the complainant and her boyfriend were standing in the roadway. The trio said they stopped to talk to them about the harassing message when the boyfriend reportedly came at them in a aggressive manor and shoved one of the females.
