Dealt a Bad Hand: Winder Woman Discovers Phone Missing After Dacula Poker Game

By the time the woman returned to the site of the poker game, the people she had been playing with were gone.

A Dec. 29 poker game at Stars and Strikes ended badly for a Winder woman.

After she finished playing, the woman left the Dacula business and went home. She then realized her iPhone 5C was missing. The woman said she had kept the phone in her purse on her shoulder the entire time she was playing.

The woman returned to Stars and Strikes in an attempt to locate the phone, but could not find it. The people who had been playing poker with her were also gone.

Though the business has video surveillance, an employee advised the cameras do not cover the poker tables.

The iPhone has an estimated value of $500. The case is listed as active.

The incident is not the first in which a phone has gone missing during a Dacula poker game. In January of last year, a Norcross man contacted Gwinnett County Police after his iPhone 5 was reportedly stolen during a poker game at Stars and Strikes.  In June of 2013, a Bogart, Ga. man reported his Samsung Galaxy phone was stolen during a poker game at Del Rio.
