Woman Admits Hiding Bag of Pills in Vagina

The female reportedly tried unsuccessfully to convince bystanders to help her hide before police arrived.

A neighborhood complaint regarding "boisterous noise" led to the arrest of two Winder residents including one who had concealed a bag of pills in her vagina.

Winder police arrived at the West Williams Street at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Aug. 21 and found a male standing outside a black Toyota Camry. A second male was sitting in the passenger seat with the door open. Before police could reach the car, the male who had been sitting in the vehicle fled on foot. One of the officers gave chase, but was unable to apprehend the male. The other officer stayed with the male standing outside the vehicle and a female passenger.

Upon questioning, the female, later identified as Victoria Maynard, 20, of 411 Pendergrass Road in Winder, said she did not know the full name of the male who fled from police, but knew he went by the name "Slick."

The male, who initially identified himself as Christopher, had been placed in the back of a patrol car. A short time later, the man's mother arrived at the scene and informed officers the male's name was not Christopher, but was instead Terry Monhollen.

"She advised that he had several warrants and that was why he probably gave us the brother's name," the officer wrote in the arrest report.

Monhollen, 24, of 31 W. Williams Street in Winder, was mirandized and agreed to answer questions. He informed the officers that the man who fled was Maynard's boyfriend. At that point, Maynard was taken into custody. Officers subsequently received confirmation that Monhollen was wanted by Barrow County, Winder and Auburn authorities.

As officers continued their investigation, "a few neighbors" advised officers that Maynard had asked them to hide her from the police "as she had drugs in her vagina."

Maynard admitted she did in fact have drugs in her vagina and would turn them over upon arrival at the jail.

After impounding the Camry, which belonged to Maynard, the officers transported Maynard and Monhollen to the Barrow County Detention Center. Monhollen was booked into the jail without incident.

"A female Barrow County Deputy conducted a search of Ms. Maynard and retrieved the bag of pills from her vagina," the officer noted in the report.

The bag contained seven whole tablets and four partial tablets of Tizanidine Hydrochloride, one partial tablet of Morphine Sulphate and one tablet of Alprazolam.

Maynard was booked on charges of obstruction and "concealing controlled substances in her vagina." Monhollen was booked on a probation violation warrant out of Barrow County, a failure to appear warrant out of Winder and a charge of providing false name and date of birth to a law enforcement officer.
