Winder Police Searching for Suspect in Armed Robbery

The robbery occured just after 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 25, at the KFC.

Winder police are asking the public for information on an armed robbery that occured Wednesday, May 25, at a local fast-food restaurant.

The robbery occured just after 10:30 a.m. at the .

The suspect was captured on store surveillance video and is described as a black male in his early- to mid-30s, approximately 6-feet tall, with a thin build, wearing all dark clothing and sunglasses at the time of the robbery.

Police said the suspect brandished a knife and pushed an employee into an office while he took an undisclosed amount of cash from the store’s safe. He then cut the store phone line and took the employee’s cell phone before leaving the building. The suspect may also have a slight limp when he walks.
