Winder Police Department Welcomes New Staff Member

Jim Fullington recently retired from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

The Winder Police Department is welcoming a new staff member to its ranks.

The department shared the following post on its Facebook page Monday:

The City of Winder Police Department would like to welcome Jim Fullington to its staff. Fullington will be serving in the newly appointed rank of “Major” for the police department and will be assisting Chief Dennis Dorsey in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the entire department.

Major Fullington comes to us from the Georgia Bureau of Investigations where he has worked for the last 27 years. Major Fullington recently retired from the G.B.I. and brings with him a vast amount of experience in criminal investigations. Major Fullington has worked closely with many local law enforcement agencies across the state and will bring a fresh perspective to the department.

Major Fullington’s experience and assistance to the Chief will allow the Winder Police Department to operate more efficiently and provide a better service to its citizens.

Please join us in welcoming Major Jim Fullington to the department.
