Winder Firefighters to 'Give Burns the Boot' with Annual Campaign Starting Today
The local fire department will be collecting funds for the Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation.
Barrow residents may see firefighters in the streets, at local shopping centers and local businesses this weekend and next, but they won't be fighting fires.
The will be collecting funds to support the Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation's 23rd annual "Give Burns the Boot" campaign Tursday through Saturday, May 3 through 5, and May 10 through 12.
The department is asking residents to give generously when they see firefighters this weekend as the lives saved through the initiative could be family, friends or neighbors.
