Two Suspects Sought in ATM Theft — Do You Recognize This Truck?

The suspects backed the truck into a Winder convenience store and removed an ATM from inside.

The Barrow County Sheriff's Office is searching for two suspects in the recent theft of an ATM from inside Winder convenience store.

About 5:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 3, two individuals, both believed to be white males, backed a truck through the front glass doors of the convenience store at the Chevron station at 1194 Hog Mountain Road in Winder. The ATM stolen from inside, which was forcefully entered and its contents removed, was recovered in Jackson County and is now in the possession of the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office being processed for evidence.

Two persons of interest have been identified and investigators are attempting to locate them. No arrests warrants have been issued at this time and no are names being released.

The sheriff’s office is not disclosing the value of the currency that was taken as it could jeopardize the investigation and may be of use in the future when identifying suspects and conducting interviews. Two photos taken by the store’s security system that show the vehicle used and blurry pictures of the two suspects have been released, and anyone who may recognize the suspects or has information about this incident should call the sheriff’s office's Criminal Investigations Division at 770-307-3080, ext. 3083.
