Arrests Made in Connection with Winder Burglary Ring

Officers with the Winder Police Department found multiple flat panel televisions and other electronics that had been reported stolen in the area at a suspect's residence.

Two women, as well as a juvenile, are facing charges after the Winder Police Department says it uncovered a burglary ring. 

Zenobia Griffin, 27, and Dacquiri Huff, 20, have been arrested in connection with approximately seven recent burglaries, as well as several attempted burglaries. A 16-year-old juvenile is also facing charges.

According to a news release, officers were investigating the recent thefts when they were led to Griffin's home.

"While speaking to Ms. Griffin, police observed a television in her residence that was believed to be stolen," the news release reads. "The detectives left Ms. Griffin’s home and obtained a search warrant. They returned to Ms. Griffin’s home to execute the search warrant and were able to recover multiple flat panel televisions and many other electronics that had been reported stolen from area burglaries." 

Winder police are working with the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office to determine if these individuals were involved in additional thefts outside Winder’s jurisdiction.

Griffin and Huff are charged with multiple counts of burglary, criminal attempt to commit burglary, felony theft by taking, misdemeanor theft by taking, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, cruelty to children, fraudulently obtaining a controlled substance and false report of a crime.

The investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be forthcoming.

A , of 124 Second St., Apt. 10, in Winder, was booked into the Barrow County Detention Center in May 2012 on charges of aggravated assault, contributing to delinquency of a minor and two counts cruelty to children in the third degree, third or subsequent offense.

The  also lists a Zenobia Laurel Griffin, 26, of 318 Ryan Road in Winder, as having been arrested and charged with simple battery related to family violence. 

A  of 266 Sanders Drive of Winder, was booked into the Barrow County Detention Center in December 2012. She was charged with willful obstruction of law enforcement officers. A Dacquiri Nicole Huff of 173 Scott Drive in Winder, was arrested and booked in April 2012 on charges of giving false name, address or birth date to law enforcement officers, DUI less safe and furnishing, purchasing and possession of alcoholic beverages by person under legal age.
