Two Adults, One Child Displaced by Chimney Fire

A Sunday evening house fire resulted in two adults and one child being displaced from their home.

Firefighters were called to the Tanners Bridge Circle home shortly before 8 p.m. on Dec. 8.

“Upon arrival firefighters found fire showing around the chimney and extending inside the house,” said Barrow County Fire and Emergency Services public information officer Lt. Scott Dakin in a released statement. “They made an aggressive interior attack and quickly brought the fire under control.”

The home sustained fire damage around the chimney and fireplace and smoke damage throughout the residence.
