According to Wright, Varnum was driving his 1995 Chevrolet Camaro east on Highway 82 when he crossed the centerline and struck the Collins’ 2001 Ford Taurus head-on.

“Alcohol is suspected as a contributing factor and a blood test will be performed on Mr. Varnum to confirm,” Wright said in a released statement.
