Suspected Shoplifter Admits to Drinking Beers in Winder Grocery Store Restroom
The Winder resident was arrested and charged with shoplifting and public intoxication.
A Winder resident apparently thought the local restroom was an appropriate place to have a couple beers.
On March 24, 2012, an officer with the was dispatched to the grocery store in reference to a report of a shoplifter.
Upon arrival, the officer met with store employees, who said a female customer had entered the store acting suspicious before asking where the restroom was located. After the customer approached a second employee asking if there was a different bathroom she could use, a third employee approached the restroom, where she observed two six-packs of Bud Light Platinum beer with beverages missing.

The Ingles employee told the responding officer she entered the restroom and asked the customer where the beer was. The customer directed her to the trash, where the employee found several empty bottles.
According to an incident report, the woman apologized to the employee for taking the beer and said she had money to pay for what she had drank.

When officers arrived at the store, two more empty bottles of Bud Light Platinum were found in the stall that had been occupied by the customer.
When the she exited the restroom, Lorie Lynn Willis, 40, of 833 Kendall Park Drive in Winder, was placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting and public intoxication before being transported to the .
